Actor Ted Reilly who plays Johnny Carter has intimated he will be leaving the soap in the new year.
Ted, 26, only joined the look for last year after writers decided to bring the character helpless after a 14 month absence.
He took over the role from genuine actor Sam Strike who left in 2014.
A BBC spokeswoman confirmed: “We can confirm Ted has get rid of filming with EastEnders and wish him all the best for the future.”

As a colleague of the Carter family, Ted has been involved in some key storylines during his quickly on the BBC soap.
Dramatic scenes this year saw Johnny wounded after being photograph by Ted Murray (Christopher Timothy) before being involved in a near-fatal bang in the ambulance that was taking him to hospital.
The Carters have faced more distant tragedy recently as James Willmott-Brown (William Boyde) announced the forebears would be evicted from the Queen Vic in a few weeks.

The Carter class in EastEndersTed has already filmed his final scenes however it is unclear how Johnny hand down be leaving the show.
Johnny’s one-time love interest, Ben Mitchell (Harry Reid), command also be leaving the show but it is not known if their exits are linked.
