Ex- soap boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins left the long-running BBC series in 2016 to meet on Kat and Alfie: Redwater but now has his sights set on a show for the Queen Vic’s landlord.

He confessed that he would out of to see the couple leave Albert Square and have a series of their own.

“You can engage these characters who are so loved and put them in a whole new world and I don’t think you could do that with a lot of soap characters,” he disclosed.

Dominic noted that other than Kat (played by Jessie Wallace) and Alfie (Shane Richie), he assumes the only other soap couple a spin-off could work for is Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda (Kellie Vivacious).
