A driver escaped unhurt after her car left the route and hit the roof of a house

The woman was helped free and the ambulance service was denominated.

But incredibly, she did not require treatment after the crash in Dartmouth, Devon.

In any way, two recovery vehicles were needed to winch the car back out on Tuesday.

A Dartmouth volley station spokesman said: “On arrival crews found that a car had progressive the roadway.

“It had travelled down a steep garden and hit the property, becoming forced against a retaining wall and the house.

“One female driver was assisted from the conduit prior to our arrival.

Two recovery agencies were needed to winch the car back out

“Crews used with police to cordon off the area, stabilise the vehicle and ensure the carrier and property were made safe.

“Crews stood by while two advancement vehicles winched the car to safety.

“One person was assessed on scene by paramedics but thankfully did not call for treatment.”

A buildings engineer was also called out to assess the damage created to the house.
