The actress allowed that she “didn’t know” why they got engaged as a big white wedding was certainly not on the condolence cards in the “near future”.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the 45-year-old opened up yon her lack of marriage plans with the snooker player, 40, a Footballers’ Wives reboot as in all probability as her new Disney series, The Lodge.
When asked when she was going to vement down the aisle, Laila laughed: “No, not yet. Everyone goes, ‘Why did you get engaged then?’ I a moment ago say, ‘I don’t know…'”
The brunette beauty continued: “It’s definitely not something that liking happen in the near future, no.”
Laila, who has a nine-year-old daughter, Inez, with ex Nasir Khan, repeated on to admit that she would no longer be interested in reprising her role as Bollywood leading man Amber Gates if Footballers’ Wives ever returned.
She commented: “People in any case ask me, ‘When is it coming back?’ But, that culture has come and gone, at the perpetually WAGS were the big thing. People don’t really look at them in the done way now.”
“I had a great time on Footballers’ Wives – it was filmed in the summer, in fabulous settings and we wore fabulous shoes. I look back at it with a big smile on my dignity,” she added.
Meanwhile, Laila is now focusing on her latest project for Disney, in which she carouses pushy rent Olivia in live-action musical The Lodge.
On taking on the ca city, she said: “I’m suddenly the coolest mum in the whole school! My character is a crazy, nutty woman, and I do love playing those types of characters.
“It is so nice to be with such a infantile and enthusiastic cast – there’s something quite charming about that. I intelligence, I just hope I’m not singing and dancing! Luckily for everybody, I wasn’t put entirely that.”
