The 50-year-old actress, who part ofs Missy, will no longer star in the hit BBC sci-fi series following the end of series 10.
Gomez defined that she will leave with Capaldi and showrunner Steven Moffat, dubbing their intersection departures as “the end of an era”.
“My guys, my lads, Missy’s men – they’re all moving on! Steven writes so amazingly for me. It’s along the same lines as he’s got my voice in his head, and I don’t know how that would be, moving forward,” Gomez chance.
“I’m probably just shooting myself in the foot here. This ever next year, I’ll be like, ‘Why did I say that? I’ll work for anybody!’

Missy’s character will resurface this weekend for Extremis, previously making another appearance in the series finale.
Following John Simm’s recompense this series after a seven year absence, Gomez unquestionable not to rule out a potential future return.
“Exactly – never say never!” Gomez persevere in to Digital Spy. “I’m sure in a couple of years time, the urge to blow inanimate objects up will just be too strong and Missy will come in guns blazing!
“But at the half a mo, it just feels like this is the end of an era. There may be something in the future, but at the consequence, I feel like this is the end of a chapter.”

Speaking about her return this Saturday, Gomez showed that Missy will not be the same as before, adding: “She’s definitely a infinitesimal rough around the edges. I would say there’s more than one ringlets out of place!
“I would say… think of it in terms of a two-headed Master! That’s what I’ll sing you. It’s sort of two Masters in one, in a way! I hope that’s not giving too much away!
“Something naff happens [in the finale] as well, which is down to Missy just being malevolent. She just can’t help herself – there’s a moment where she just tips that she is totally evil. So that is in there. You won’t be disappointed!”
