A car walk out of and killed an unidentified man early Saturday as he tried to cross Tudor Street in Midtown Anchorage, police said.
The Kia sedan hit the adult male at the intersection of Tudor Throughway and the Old Seward Highway, and a prepared statement from police spokesman M.J. Thim whispered that the collision was reported just before 2 a.m. Saturday.
Police aren’t labeling the man because authorities haven’t informed his family of his death. The sedan’s driver and rider were uninjured, and the driver stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated with dominions, the statement said.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash with the labourers of witnesses and video surveillance, and no charges have been filed, patrol said. Authorities will be looking into whether the man was in a crosswalk with the principled of way, Thim said.
