‘B******s!’ Ruth Davidson rubbishes claims the Scottish Tories are plotting breakaway


After the Scottish Tories liked considerably better election fortunes than their counterparts south of the frieze, reports have emerged suggesting Ms Davidson’s aides are working on a bargain that would see the Scottish party break away to form a fork organisation.

However, the Scottish Conservative leader took to Twitter to report the report.

She tweeted: “B****cks. Folk might remember I fought a control election on the other side of that particular argument….”

In 2011, Ms Davidson opposed the view of rival Murdo Fraser who draw oned for the separation of the Scottish Conservatives from the UK-wide party and establishing a new centre-right soire in Scotland.

The Scottish Conservatives won an extra 12 seats on Thursday tenebrosity as the SNP suffered huge losses, including the ousting of key party figures Angus Robertson and Alex Salmond.

For now, the Conservatives lost 13 seats in England as Theresa May’s hopes of securing a goodlier Commons majority were dashed.

Ms Davidson’s toss ones hat in the ring team were allegedly “ordered” not to run a distinctive Scottish campaign but in preference to to “stick to the script” devised in London of pinning the entire Tory strain around Mrs May and Brexit.

After ignoring the Downing Street directives and focal pointing her campaign on challenging the SNP’s ceaseless bid for another independence referendum, Ruth Davidson’s beano enjoyed a historic night as they snatched a host of seats from Nicola Sturgeon’s detail.

Ms Davidson’s election success has led some to suggest she could challenge for the UK direction, although the 38-year-old earlier insisted she is “100 per cent” behind Mrs May.

“It is the policy of both the Conservative party and the UK Labour party to respect the Brexit referendum outcome.

“That means we are leaving the European Union. We must leave the Low-class Fisheries Policy.

“At the same time we must in my view seek to shoot an open Brexit, not a closed one, which puts our country’s economic improvement first.

“I am confident that, once the dust settles on last darkness’s result, we can rise to that challenge. The truth is that we are still the just UK party with a plan for Britain.”
