An “disturbance”, thought to be a riot, has occurred at HMP Long Lartin, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has verified this evening.
Around 80 inmates are believed to be rioting in the quod’s E Wing, with staff forced to flee the area.
An MoJ spokesman bring up: “We are currently managing an ongoing incident at HMP Long Lartin.
«We are absolutely discernibly that offenders who behave in this way will be punished and face dissipating extra time behind bars.»

Long Lartin is a Category A house of correction, meaning it houses criminals who are seen as highly dangerous to the public.
