BREAKING: North Korea threatens to CANCEL Trump summit over US-South Korea WAR drills


The clandestinely state announced it was pulling out of high-level talks with South Korea earmarked for tomorrow for the same reason, the Seoul-based Yonhap news agency reported.

Kim Jong-un is due to convene with President Trump in Singapore next month for a historic crown aimed at bringing peace to the Korean Peninsula by curbing the North’s atomic weapons programme.

If it goes ahead, the meeting will be the first period a sitting US president has come face-to-face with his North Korean counterpart.

The anchoret kingdom has now cast doubt over whether the talks will experience place, but US officials say they have heard nothing from Pyongyang.

North Korea communicated the ongoing ‘Max Thunder’ drills carried out by American and South Korean air power was a recital for invasion.

It also labelled the exercises a deliberate provocation.

The two-week utilization began on Friday (May 11) and involves some 100 warplanes.

North Korea’s stooge state media said: “This exercise targeting us, which is being gained out across South Korea and targeting us, is a flagrant challenge to the Panmunjom Profession and an intentional military provocation running counter to the positive political maturation on the Korean Peninsula.

“The United States will also have to stipulate careful deliberations about the fate of the planned North Korea-US peak in light of this provocative military ruckus jointly conducted with the South Korean specialists.”

The US State Department said it had not heard anything from North Korea atop of the possible cancellation of the summit.

Officials said they were persist in to make preparations for the June 12 talks.

North Korea has familiar similar language before in the build-up to and after joint US-South Korea disciplines.

Tomorrow’s talks between the two Koreas were supposed to follow-up on a well-known meeting between Kim and South Korean President Moon Jae-in behind month.

High-level officials from both sides of the demilitarised zone had been allotted to meet in the truce village of Panmunjom.

North Korea last week unloosed three Americans who were being held prisoner by Kim’s regime.
