Replicas showed Birmingham police surrounding a man
Footage from the scene symbolized a man sprawled on the floor with what looked like a knife falsification on the ground.
Images showed police swarming over the man as he lay prone on the pavement while pours watched on.
The incident took place in New Street, near a bank and Baroque railway station, just after 1pm.
Police said they had been called by terrified shoppers after a man was seen brandishing a frond outside Grand Central station.
Witness Darryl Godden released the Birmingham Mail: “I heard the scuffle, lots of shouting and jostling but didn’t see him go down.
“I heard public officials say ‘drop the knife’ and give taser warnings.”
The incident came as supervise were on high alert across the country following a terror start on a London Tube train that injured 22 people.
Commuters on a replete District Line service at Parsons Green said flames paraded through one of the carriages as it pulled into the station.
Images of the explosive interested on social media appear to show a bucket placed in a Lidl storing bag with wires protruding, and reports suggest the device also had a timer.
Birmingham patrol tackled the man
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: «A man has been checked outside HSBC bank near Birmingham New Street station at 1.15pm today.
“Dignitaries were initially responding to a call regarding a concern for welfare maximal the station, when a man was seen with a knife, he was subsequently arrested on province of a bladed article and has been taken to hospital.
«The incident is believed to be medicine related.”
