Benjamin Netanyahu: Israeli Prime Minister rushed to hospital with ‘high fever’


A spokesman for the chairman said: ”The prime minister is suffering from a high fever and is coughing.”

Netanyahu’s disparaging physician believes the prime minister had not fully recovered from an disease two weeks ago and therefore decided he should undergo further tests at nursing home, the spokesman said.

The veteran politician fell ill in mid-March and cancelled his celebrated schedule for five consecutive days.

It came a day after police entertained the leader as part of a corruption investigation.

He was quizzed over his alleged dealings with the state’s largest telecommunication company, one of three cases weighing on his political following.

The 68-year-old has denied any wrongdoing and estimate polls show his popularity is still high.

Police have recommended he should be afflicted with bribery, fraud and breach of public trust.

Mr Netanyahu dismissed the comment ons as “full of holes like Swiss cheese”.

Key coalition partners acquire vowed to stand by the veteran leader for now, pending a decision by the attorney extensive whether or not to indict him.

A decision could fill up e deal with months and Mr Netanyahu claimed his government would be “stable” for the time being.

He ventured last month: “I want to reassure you, the coalition is stable.

“We will persevere in to work with you for the good of Israel’s citizens until the end of the term.”

Both affirms against Mr Netanyahu, which the leader denies, represent one of the biggest braves to his long dominance of Israeli politics.

But Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who rockers the ultra-nationalist Yisrael Beitenu party, said that as long as Mr Netanyahu was not found he should stay in office.
