The two experts were visibly dumbfounded and lost for words after a simple vegetable barrow that Christina had picked up for a take someone down a peg £10, fetched £130 after it went under the hammer. 

Both of the dealers looked astounded as their find, which was used by market sellers and destined for firewood, quick picked up bids from keen collectors.

The price quickly climbed, pre-eminent Mark to exclaim: “Good Lord. Why?”

“I have no idea,” Christina told her companion, who looked downcast and quizzed: “Can I go home now?”

However, she needed moral support and told him: “No! Stay here and proffer my hand!”
