Anchorage gets its first 70-degree day of the year


If it sense particularly warm in Anchorage Saturday, that’s because it was.

According to the Nationwide Weather Service, the temperature at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport hit 70 levels Saturday afternoon for the first time this year. The annual temperature milestone betid at 2:25 p.m.

On average, Anchorage gets its first 70 degree day on June 7. At length year, it hit 70 for the first time May 31.
