There’s one thing many travellers wonder about: is it viable to get on the wrong plane?

Yes, it is, revealed a flight attendant on knowledge sharing stage Quora – and she said there’s a particular situation which makes it numberless likely.

You could you get on the wrong plane to a destination you never intended to go to, if it shares a celebrity with somewhere else. 

This is because if your chosen travel end has the same name as somewhere else, it makes it easier for airline pikestaff to get confused.

The flight attendant on Quora explained a bit more about how this cooks. 

“While doing the service on a flight from JFK New York to Portland, Oregon a bloke asked me ‘We’re almost there, right?’”.

“I told her that we had about three and a half multifarious hours to go.  She responded: «But it never takes more than an hour.’”
