Annalise, 22, a fellow of the traveller community from Ardrossan, Ayrshire, was found dead in woodland next to the B8062 Auchterarder to Importuning road in Perthshire last Thursday.
She was last seen alive in neighbourhood Auchterarder – where she is believed to have relatives – 24 hours earlier after being discharged off by a silver Ford Galaxy.
It was seized for forensic examination 25 miles away in Inchture on Friday – the verbatim at the same time day she was reported missing – after being found damaged.
Police are now irksome to trace her last movements and the whereabouts of her mobile phone, wallet and medication.
Detective Chief James Smith said the cause of death could not be explained.
He said: “I have concerns here certain aspects of this investigation – this is not a run-of-the-mill type attitude.
“She clearly has injuries that I can’t go in to detail about.
“There’s been a lot of examination and expert opinion required.”
Asked if someone else was involved in her downfall he said: “That’s an answer we are trying to get to.
“We are covering every eventuality – third-party involvement is being believed.
“We are making sure we capture everything forensically from the scene and round her movements. We are doing everything we can to try and find out what has happened to Annalise and I purpose like to appeal to anyone who may have any information to come forward.

“I am also penetrating to confirm the movements of a silver-coloured Ford Galaxy motor vehicle, registration brand ST67 HXL, which is linked to this inquiry.
“I would appeal to the public who may be subjected to seen this vehicle to also contact police.
“We are also looking to record her iPhone 5S mobile phone which is lime green in colour, within a red flip-style carton, and a small wallet which has the Marvel superheroes thereon.
“A clear bag of medication which is four to five inches in estimate, which will have a sticker on it with Annalise’s name, is also teenagers.”
Appealing for the public’s help, Det Supt Smith said: “Please get in arouse with us even if you think your information may not be relevant to the inquiry – it may back up vital in establishing what has happened to Annalise.”
