Jessica and Kevin Mahoney had tried with fertility issues for a while, but when she finally got pregnant with their other child after so much loss, they knew they had to do something closest for a pregnancy photo shoot. Jessica had suffered six miscarriages following the nativity of their son Corbin and wanted the pregnancy photos to represent every ounce of confidence that came with their rainbow baby.
Kevin conscript photographer JoAnn Marrero to take the photos, and after back-and-forth communication, they unequivocal they were going to form an actual rainbow using colorful smoke shells. After suffering so much loss, this beautiful photo fling was the perfect way for Jessica to show how important it is to stay hopeful and see the rainbow after the incomprehensible, cloud-filled days.
“A rainbow baby is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ransack of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it does not mean the storm not at any time happened or the family is still not dealing with its aftermath. What it humbles is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds,” Marrero transcribed on her Facebook ge From Labor to Love.
The photo was shared on the in vogue ge Birth Without Fear and has received over 10,000 counteractions, all from those blown away by how beautiful this photo is!
